I know we continually say this, but it is true. Just like your car, your furnace needs to be maintained properly. Proper maintenance will help find underlying issues that may become an issue later in the season. Small repairs to your furnace are much cheaper than complete replacement.

Open You Air Vents

We realize a lot of our customers have rooms they do not use, so they decide to close the air vents to these rooms in attempt to save money. Heating and air systems are designed to accommodate the square footage of the zone it is controlling. Once you change this by closing vents you could cause issues with lack of airflow at your furnace and your system could actually run longer in an attempt to heat the entire zone properly. We recommend you leave all your air vents open and allow the system to work as it was designed.

Dirty Air Filter – Change it if Needed

When is the last time you checked your air filter? We always tell customers to check this first. We all live busy lives and time gets away from us. Even though you think you just changed it, the fact is it could have been months ago.
